March looks appealing already

Not to jump the gun or anything, but as I was walking home from the gym I realized: March has a lot of promising and exciting events.

Here is my list of events that will increase the happiness & excitement of my life:

-My Parentals will be coming up to the city for a work retreat type thing and will be staying downtown on March 1st through 2nd. I will most likely get to spend 3/2/12 with them and even join the fancy breakfast buffet at the St. Francis, SF. I do LOVE me some breakfast.

I get to see two of my best friends in the month of March:

Danielle will be returning from a couple months in NYC. I will be picking her up from the airport on March 3rd.

Kayla will be coming up to SF on March 14-16. I’ll try not to cry this time when we have to say goodbye.

Birthday festivities— Danielle on March 24th.

I have high hopes for getting a second internship at a start-up that I have now had two follow-up interviews for and am writing a one page PR release for (due Friday).

I will most likely be seeing more SF shows for free and reviewing them. I can tell I am already improving my skills with this.

I will be taking an SEO class with a favorite teacher of mine through the CEL program.

Woo, March! Bring it on!

For you there’ll be no crying
For you the sun will be shining
‘Cause I feel that when I’m with you
It’s all right I know it’s right

‘Cause I feel that when I’m with you
It’s all right I know it’s right

JUDGEMENT

Judgement is a funny thing.

We all dislike it, yet we all do it. I am guilty to being one of the more judgmental people you’ll meet. I judge at the gym, on the bus, at work, at the mall, at the grocery store and even online.

Being let down is also a funny thing. I do believe that what is meant to be will happen, so why am I so sad that I didn’t get the internship? On to the next one, as Jay-z says.

Happy Holidays

Happy Holidays. Today my parents and grandma came up to San Francisco and we went out to lunch. Now I am at home in San Francisco, alone watching movies.

Sore feet, chapped lips, interviews and an avocado mask.

Today was my first day back at work. I actually got called in an hour early because it was busy and there was shipment to be done, which I was fine with. I need the money bad and I need stay productive. I worked from 11:45a-6:30p, I guess that is pretty legit? Overall my first day back at work was successful and the break really did me good. I needed that break from work to get ahold of myself and really come down from finals and getting laid off at the internship. I am SO grateful that I did take a break off from work because I do not know how I would have gotten through finals at all! That would have been insane. Anyways, my feet are extremely sore from working and my lips are chapped from yelling at customers all day. I need to remember to fill up my water bottle ALL the way before I go into a 6 hour+ shift and also not lose my chapstick half way through my shift? I need vaceline for my lips and a good foot bath.

When I got home from work, I steamed broccoli, baked a potato and chopped up veggies for work tomorrow. I am trying really hard to NOT buy food at the mall because it is expensive and not healthy. Plus, I don’t have time to wait in line in the food court or have any desire to sit next to screaming children, while trying to enjoy a $10 meal.I made a healthy dinner when I got home and then a potential roommate came over to see our place. She was awesome! Super artistic, talkative, cute, friendly and went to UCSC. I liked her a lot and I believe we are on board for her to move in! I am seriously SO burned out with sitting down in the living room and pulling the same boring questions out of my ass. Also, I am done having interviews with BORING people that suck ass (waste of my time).

Today’s conclusion: Wear comfy shoes to work, eat healthy, drink a lot of water and have TWO chapsticks on me at all times (one in the apron and one in the pocket).

Time for an avocado face mask…
